For how we process personal data more broadly, see our Privacy policy. Website terms are in our Terms of service.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by CATER AND MERGER CONSULT LTD (company number 11462325) of 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Questions about cookies: info@londonpoliticalsummitawards.org.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser, and certain identifiers used in connection with authentication services. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy where the effect is similar.
3. How we use cookies on this site
We keep cookies to a minimum. Based on the current configuration of this website, they fall into the categories below. Exact cookie names, duration, and attributes may change when we update our software or providers; we will keep this policy materially accurate.
3.1 Strictly necessary (authentication)
When you use programme operations sign-in (for example the staff sign-in flow and related session refresh on protected routes), our authentication provider (Supabase) sets and updates cookies needed to keep you signed in securely, protect accounts, and prevent misuse. These are essential for that functionality and are not used for advertising.
Typical names follow patterns such as project-specific prefixes associated with Supabase Auth (for example names containing sb- and auth-related segments). You can inspect live cookies in your browser’s developer tools or cookie settings after signing in.
3.2 Delivery, performance, and security (hosting)
Our hosting and infrastructure providers (for example Vercel or an equivalent) may set cookies or use comparable mechanisms that are strictly necessary to deliver the site over HTTPS, route traffic, defend against abuse, or maintain reliability. We do not use these to profile you for marketing on the current implementation.
3.3 Public browsing
When you browse public pages without signing in to programme operations, few or no non-essential cookies should be required. You may still see strictly necessary technical cookies from hosting or security layers as described above.
4. What we do not use cookies for (currently)
Based on the current codebase and configuration of this site, we do not load third-party advertising or audience analytics scripts (for example Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) for cross-site tracking. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain appropriate consent before non-essential cookies are set.
5. Legal bases and consent
Under UK privacy and electronic communications rules, strictly necessary cookies may be used where they are essential to provide a service you request (such as maintaining a secure authenticated session) or for transmission of a communication. Where we ever use non-essential cookies (for example analytics or marketing), we will rely on consent or another valid basis as applicable and reflect that here.
6. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary authentication cookies, you may not be able to sign in to programme operations areas, or your session may not persist. Instructions vary by browser; see your browser’s help section or visit aboutcookies.org for general guidance.
7. Retention
Authentication cookies are usually session-based or have lifetimes managed by our authentication provider (including refresh behaviour). They are removed or overwritten when you sign out, when they expire, or when you clear them from your device.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies policy when our site, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
